Edwardsville, Illinois: Big T-Bone Steak (Gone)
The upright eight-foot-high slab o' meat was created by SIU graduate Haley Clancy Inyart. It was officially named "Seven Cows" and was meant to be critical of the meat industry, but meat-lovers liked it, too. By the summer of 2023 it had disappeared.
- Directions:
- On the campus of Southern Illinois University. From IL-157 turn west at the stoplight onto E. University Drive. At the next stoplight turn left onto N. University Drive. Drive south a half-mile. You'll see the steak in the road median, on the left.
