Muffler Man
Looking good -- right between a meat place and a Japanese restaurant.
[Till Lux, 11/26/2010]Muffler Man - Cadillac Bar
Giant Cowboy out front at Country Barn Steakhouse. Other fun sights inside. Full size white Cadillac behind the bar. Vintage movie posters. Canada goose room.
[AirstreamAcrossAmerica.com, 06/19/2010]In front of the "Coming Soon!" Country Barn BBQ & Steaks, the lantern-jawed Cowboy Muffler Man tips his hat to passing cars on I-40. Across the parking lot, there is also a big steer similar to the big cows that stand in front of Sirloin Stockade restaurants. We were actually headed west on I-40 in search of the Cadillac Ranch, so sighting an Undocumented Muffler Man within only a few miles was a big bonus!
[Julie Bloem, 03/28/2004]Muffler Man
During our trip to Amarillo this past week we saw a sort-of muffler man in front of a new BBQ restaurant that looks like a barn. We aren't sure if it is an actual muffler man -- he has a similar face, but his legs seem to be different. At any rate he has a muffler man aura about him.

Classified as a Muffler Man because of the signature head, the arms and legs are non-standard. The same variant can be found in Gainesville's M-Man, which owner Glenn Goode admits was cobbled together from disparate body part molds. Perhaps Glenn made this new fellah? August 2004 - David Carlson confirmed this M-Man is the one that was in Sanger, Texas, at Glenn Goode's son's sandblasting business. "It had a lot of bullet holes in it that Mr. Goode patched up before selling it to Country Barn this past winter. You'd never know it was damaged, he did such a good repair job. The painting was done by someone in the Amarillo area."
