Milwaukee, Wisconsin: Rusty the Boiler Mastodon
Life-size cubist-style mastodon made from a huge rusty factory boiler. Weighs 11 tons. The tusks are ten feet long, and the cyclops eye was originally 1929 Ford Model A headlight. Unveiled July 2023.

Mastodon Sculpture
This mastodon sculpture is made of steel weighing over 22,000 lbs, has tusks over 10 feet long & the Eyes are made from Ford Model A headlights. Its foundation is covered in rocks much like a mastodon would have traversed in real life. Located in downtown Milwaukee by 150 W. St. Paul Avenue with the freeway behind it. It's the brainchild of Milwaukee developer Kendall Breunig.

Rusty was made from a steam boiler salvaged from Milwaukee's Nunn-Bush Shoe Company factory. He was welded together by blacksmith Kent Knapp, and weighs 11 tons.

Rusty was named in an online contest. Among the names not chosen were "Rust O'Don" and "Bronz Mastodonz," a nod to the city's Bronz Fonz statue.
