Deliberately visible from Interstate 35, this tiny church was built to commemorate a visit from a real guardian angel.

- I-35 exit 193. Drive west, then turn south off 4th Ave. S. at 24th St. (Pritchard's Ford). Drive south a half-mile. Turn left onto small, unmarked gravel driveway and drive back into the trees.

Tiny Church: Guardian Angel Roadside Chapel
Hard to find if you are looking to see the church. If you passed the storage facility you went too far. Small parking lot big enough for 3-4 cars. You have to walk in past the gate. Guardian Angel Roadside Chapel is in the back of the yard, on the right on a little knoll. No wheelchair access.

The church was built in 1991, destroyed in a mysterious fire in 1992 (vandals were blamed), then rebuilt in 1993 from pieces of the original plus pieces from a nearby Lutheran church. Jack Kennedy built the church in memory of his aunt, who said her life was once saved by a guardian angel.
