Gone -- looked for quite a while and couldn't find it anywhere.
[Ashley Craig, 04/23/2014]I drove by on a lazy Sunday through Wisconsin countryside knowing it'd be closed, but from the white-out on the trailer it's apparent cheese is no longer part of their marketing campaign. I'm assuming the taxidermy is still going strong -- the deer head is still on the side of the shop exterior. However, looking for a second niche product to replace the cheese, possibly one that rhymes, they apparently sell "trees for $10." Perhaps this site should now be called "Wisconsin's Finest Taxidermy & Tree Shop".
[Matt Cyganik, 05/30/2008]That's a good name change if they want to get removed from everyone's vacation plans.
Just past the Minnesota Border is Ave's Taxidermy and Cheese shop. But this isn't just any Taxidermy and Cheese Shop, it's "Wisconsin's Finest Taxidermy and Cheese Shop" as the painted semi trailer states. If you stand below the deer antlers on the Pole Shed door you can take some interesting photos. I might be dreaming this but I think there might also be a Cheese Curd Museum!
