Lorado Taft Angel
This sculpture is named "The Recording Angel" and it was created by Lorado Taft at the behest of his friend Clarence Shaler, to honor Shaler's wife Blanche. Shaler was a local businessman/philanthropist. The larger-than-life angel depicts a woman with wings, an open Book of Life on her lap, and her face turned upward toward the heavens. This angel is on the National Register of Historic Places.
