The University has been closed for some time. The acting teacher and attendant has relocated to the Racine area and can be found with web searching. He claims that he does not know what the Lawsonomy Foundation did with the university assets after the sale of the farm. You can still see the "Study Natural Law" on the farmhouse, and the signposts for the former sign.
[D. St. Holmes, 07/06/2013]The barn on the property has just received a fresh coat of paint. This leads me to believe that a Lawson still must live there. The best way to get close to the site is to exit I-94 on Hwy KR.
[Nate, 07/25/2010]The famous sign -- "Study Natural Law" -- has been taken down.
[Nate, 02/09/2010]The University of Lawsonomy is visible from I-94 near Kenosha, on the east side of the highway. Its main attraction appears to be a large anonometer (wind measuring device). Lawsonomy is a philosophy/religion, based on the teachings of Alfred William Lawson. It modestly describes itself as "the knowledge of life and everything pertaining thereto."Disclaimer -- I am not a "lawsonomist." I don't know what actually goes on there, but it appears worth a look.
[Bill Lauck, 01/27/2001]The full text of Alfred William Lawson's teachings can be found at lawsonomy.org, such as:
"Lawsonomy is an oasis of Truth in the midst of a desert of lies. It is for all thirsty minds and it is your fault, not mine, if you do not partake of it copiously. My duty was to prepare it for you. Your duty is to absorb it and teach it and utilize its great power to strengthen yourself and others. Lawsonomy is the fountain of intelligence and one must open the mind to drink it in, just as one must open the mouth to drink in water."
