Metaphor, the Tree of Utah - Shark!
Just west of the Tree, someone has placed metal fins in the water to look like a shark. A little further west, there is a sea serpent.
[Amy, 04/25/2019]I drove a semi-truck from 1997 to 2011 and I've seen this oddity many times. Before this sculpture was fenced off to keep people out, there used to be a baby phoenix in one of the shells, like it was coming up from the ground. Someone must've stolen it.... I think it's sad that people feel they must destroy/deface things they see.
