- Albany, Indiana - Shoe Tree
There are now four trees covered with shoes. It is across the street from the wire fence and driveway to a building. A fire pit is there; I got the impression that local kids hang out at night and party.

In addition to the shoe tree, there is lots of other art throughout the yard. The owner/artist was working in his garage when we visited, and was kind enough to come out and chat with us. Really nice guy, but camera shy. He mentioned that the Hawaiian shirt and cocktail cars are long since gone. He's a retired performing arts school teacher, and enjoys traveling on his modern BMW or 1948 Indian motorcycles. He also enjoys creating tasteful art to adorn his landscaping. A really enjoyable stop.

Interesting, though seems more towards the Trash rather than the Art part of the spectrum.
