[Kat Jenus, 10/16/2017] - Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio - Cathedral Buffet and Jesus Wax Museum
This is a buffet restaurant that is open for lunch and dinner, but closed in between. Very good food. Very strange place, it was built for some evangelical church....and in the interior there is the reddest carpet you've ever seen. Must go on a Sunday after church to appreciate, you feel like any moment they will start preaching to you (we've been there over a dozen times, and they've never said a peep!). It is located right next to a church. In the basement of the restaurant is a Jesus Wax figure museum. Diorama type, inexpensive to get into, either donation or like $10.00 per family.
[shwabogy, 01/30/2002]May 2002 Update - According to tipster Chylece Head, "The cathedral buffet and church are operated by none other than Ernest Angely! Right near (further north on State Road) is a weird-looking 'tower,' of sorts, built by Rex Humbard (Ernest Angely's evangelical competition). You can see it for miles and the locals call it 'Rex's Erection.'"
The last serving at the Buffet was on April 17, 2017. It had opened in 1971. Earnest Angley is 95 years old.
