Restaurant Grave of Dog Poogan
Poogan's Porch is a Charleston restaurant named after the dog that originally lived on the premises. When the owners purchased a house for their restaurant in 1976, the former owner's dog Poogan was part of the deal. Poogan lived at the restaurant in its early days. Poogan died in 1979 at age nine and is buried to the right of the steps leading to the porch he loved.
