Ali died on June 3, 2016. He originally had a simple marker, in accordance with his wish to remain humble, but in Oct. 2016 his grave was given a more elaborate monument.

Muhammad Ali's Grave
I had to see this before heading home. My granddaughters didn't understand -- and they're adults. Go figure. It's a beautiful grave and anyone in the vicinity should go and take pictures. The cemetery itself has some very interesting headstones. You can stop at the office and get a map.

Follow the green line on the cemetery roads and it will take you right to the spot. It's in Section U. For the seeker, Colonel Harland Sanders is in Sec 33, clear across the property.

Once you are in the cemetery, assuming you enter from Baxter Street, follow the white line to the road with the green line (which sits on the right). The green line will take you directly to the Muhammad Ali grave site.
